I used to never be able to finish reading this story, I'm not a native speaker and in parts it was difficult to understand. But now I'm on my fifth full re-read. I come back to it often. Current technological advancements in AI have revealed thousands of people like Hector's dad exist today in the real world. With that looming threat of apathy and disconnect, I've found myself coming to Solar System more and more often to share Discovery's journey. To never forget what being human is about.
