(Wasn't able to update yesterday)

Dear everyone,

I apologize for the late update; my internet service was not available yesterday. This may happen occassionally as my service provider performs maintenance. So, yesterday’s strip, 10%+ #92, is now accessible.

Simple Strip Commenting

Simple Strip Commenting

Hey everyone,

I’ve added simple commenting to the strips. All it does is send me an e-mail with your comment and the current strip number/storyline you are looking at. After it sends, you are then taken to a brief thank you page before returning to where you were when you sent the comment.

It isn’t much, since there’s still no peer interaction. But if you suddenly had a question about a strip as you were reading, this is a good, quick way to get that idea out of your head and to send it to me. The link is below each strip to the right.

NofNA is a manga?

NofNA is a manga?

Hello to all,

Would you consider Nature of Nature’s Art a manga? I receive the majority of my traffic from onlinecomics.net, where I have the comic listed under the format of “Experimental” and “Full-Color”. Additionally, I have it categorized under “Science Fiction” and “Epic” (as in, “The Odyssey”, not the interjection).

The visitors who enter via clicks on these categories usually don’t stay for very long! I’m wondering if I’ve missed my audience through incorrect categorization. What would you suggest?

3-Day update next week

3-Day update next week

Hello,

Next week shall be a three-day update because I am working on a very large picture.

In addition, I would like to take this moment to tell you about the comic descriptions. I noticed how easy it was to access them and get a quick description about the day’s comic. Just click the RSS feed button in the lowest frame on your screen. An .xml feed-style page will pop up. Usually these are too cluttered with xml tags to read, but there is so little information in the feed I make for the comic, that it should be legible. A quick description of the day’s comic (and past comics) from my point of view is then able to be read.

I understand that there is an html-style RSS feed for feed information that is meant to be displayed in browsers. While I appreciate the Google-like charm of plain text, and even code, I can also understand the desire for a crisp presentation. So I will look into that.

Fan Art section created

Hello,

Hellsion, who commented earlier, drew me my first fan art. Thank you Hellsion! I have made a “Reader Art” section in the gallery for this and any future generosities.

In any case, thanks to all who are reading.

Navigation now a little easier

Navigation now a little easier

Hi;

For those who are viewing past strips, I’ve now made navigation up through the strips easier. To get to the next strip, simply click on the current strip. I’ve become unexpectedly addicted to this navigation method at http://www.onemanga.com and now, it is implemented here.

Thanks for reading!

Nematocysts

Nematocysts

Hi; today’s comic, 10%+ number 34, exhibits the stinging cells known as nematocysts that line the tentacles of jellyfish and a host of other cnidarians.

I’ve also straightened up the Misc section above in the navigation frame. Now there is a place for me to put informative youtube videos and also a fun aside, some .pch animations from some older oekaki works.

In the youtube videos section, you can currently find a video that gives a close-up look of nematocysts being triggered. Today’s icon is taken from that video. It’s very interesting! This is the sting you feel when brushing a jellyfish: a lampooning by hundreds or even thousands of microscopic, poisoned harpoons!

More frequent updates for fight scenes

More frequent updates for fight scenes

The site will update more frequently during fight scenes, so as to help readers keep interest with the scaled-down time passage. The site will update Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday in these circumstances, for now!
Enjoy the following enormous fight scene that will take months to pass!

I wore through the plastic on my drawing tablet’s flip-up surface recently. This thing is taking a beating!

Linking Banner

August 9th, 2007
Linking Banner

I’ve made a nice linking banner for advertising purposes. The one now circulating a couple of Project Wonderful-using sites is a cut version of the below banner with choppier animation in places, in order to fit under the 100K file limit. The below banner is the full 123k and it came out great. I made two timing versions, one designed for viewing by fast computers and another by slower computers.

(Faster banner here.)

If you would like to spread the word about Nature of Nature’s Art from your website, consider using this banner! I should also be making a static button for those who do not want to display animated banners. But that is for another day.
