NofNA at Small Press Expo, SPX

10%+ proofs after the proofing process

I will be appearing at SPX from the 26th of September to the 27th, Saturday and Sunday. If you’re in the area, stop by and take a look. The place will be chock-filled with great comic artists and comic fans.

In the unlikely event that the 10%+ books are not ready by then, I will also have a free NofNA-themed postcard and business card for dispersal, and I do think that I will be doing free sketches (perhaps on the back of said free cards, if you’d like). Come and see the proof that was too big for production! As well as the seventh book, the 10%+ Addendum, which contains about 170 pages of all-new material.

I’ll probably make another announcement before I leave with more details.

Hope to see you there!

  1. Shannon ( Tyro ) says:

Oh awesome! Seeing the books themselves is soo cool. The Addendum is such a pleasant surprise! Just my terrible luck that I won’t be able to go to any of these events…moving back to Washington State. Doubt you’ll be going there at any point. But I’m totally snagging those books whenever they are out. You people who will be going, snag me some cards haha.

  2. Jeremy says:

WooHoo! The books finally have physical representation! Any chance that we can get the freebies sent along if we purchase the books online?

  3. Oson says:

dude, those books are so sexy, and the “secret track”, the seventh book, is awesome. I don’t suppose you’d ship some of those books to canada…?

  4. Fyrecat says:

    YESSSSSSS X3

  5. Lilium says:

    I.

Want those books. Oh my God. That cover with Rule’s eye looks badass.
I will definitely go to that convention. …oh wait, I’m in Jordan, not America…. rgrrrhgrhghhh.

So uh, how are you with international shipping to, say, the middle east?

  6. Melody says:

oh oh ohhh those books look so great! I can’t wait for them to go on sale. I’ll definately purchase the whole set!

  7. Zack says:

    Hey everyone,

The books will be available from two places:

    1. The printer, comiXpress, has its own online distribution where you can order them. They will arrive to you fresh off of the press.

    2. I’ll order some books for myself, so that you can buy from me–this way I’ll be able to include a postcard and/or business card or whatever else, like a signature, if you’d like.

Lilium and Oson, ComiXpress ships internationally, and if you give me a chance, I’ll try to ship internationally as well.

The 6 small books will be $8.50 each; the 7th book is $15. (US dollars.) I’m not sure what shipping costs will be internationally, but in the US, it should be normal United States Postal Service Priority Mail, which is something like $3.75.

I’m glad you like the looks of them!

  8. Jen says:

Domestic Priority Mail should be $4.80 if the rates haven’t changed under my nose again.

    See you at SPX!! =D

  9. Swift says:

Oh, my gosh. I want those books. I can’t wait until you get to selling them here by order, MD is a bit far of a drive for me haha.

  10. Coalled says:

NO!!! Why those dates?! I’m getting MARRIED that weekend! Not fair at all… -sniffles- Guess I’ll just have to live with it. So to buy the whole lot is around $70 after shipping? I Can’t WAIT!!! -is more excite about the books than the wedding-

  11. Coalled says:

…. you know, you think you proofread something until there’s no mistakes, hit submit, and immediately stare at the missing ‘D’ in excited… Typos FTW?

  12. Lilium says:

About the same price as a colored graphic novel. Makes me wonder how much you’re profiting from that; or, you’re a nice guy and don’t care about earning money, but only care about satisfying your audience, lol. I just hope shipping to Jordan won’t cost a chunk of bills.
What’s nice, is no one is complaining about the price and will obviously go to great heights to obtain these. 😛

  13. Yeti says:

Oh man, I am stoked for those books. Count on an order from me! I’d much prefer to buy from you directly, Zack.

  14. Jeremy says:

An autographed copy would be so cool, I can’t wait.

  15. Sabs says:

Holy cow! Those books look amazing, Zack! I can’t wait to get my paws on them.

  16. Kittah says:

-HOOOO i’m so excited i can hardly breathe, I MUST HAVE THE PRINT, this is going to bring so much joy to my life. The only way of getting an autographed copy is if you collect it and then post it yourself, correct? I’d like to organise one of these special books, please put me on the list of autographed copies !!! please email me at lerkus{at}gmail.com when they are avaliable.
    Thanks

    ~K

  17. Kaidona says:

D: Oh. Oh, hells. I want to go there, but I can’t putt my poor little car all the way down there. Damn unfortunate geographical placement. T_T I want to order the whole set off of you now, even if that entails spending an entire month being a total stinge and buying absolutely nothing. Can’t wait! 8D I absolutely have to have a set of those in my bookshelf. ._.

  18. Sombra29 says:

    akldsdksljal dangitdangit
    DO. WANT .THOSE. SO. MUCH.
GAH .Im a minor so I cant really import them by now D: gaaaaghgsf they are so beutifull… but one day…one day…

Will you upload the full covers-images in the site?

  19. Zack says:

Sombra, I’ll upload images of the covers onto the site when they’re available for sale.

Kittah, I’ll be sure to let you know when they arrive.

  20. Coalled says:

Not to continue to bug you but, what would be the best way to get an autographed set? Do you have an autographed pre-order list I should sign up for hidden on the forum, or would it be better to email you saying I want to purchase an autographed set? I mean, I’d hate for you to order each set individually and then have to reorder when someone else decides they want it. The shipping alone for that would kill any profit, I’m sure…

  21. Kaa says:

Congratulations on that. 😀 And print on demand too! So awesome!
Just too bad I can’t buy any. Still, I would really love to see how the book-version turned out. (The changes and so on.)
    Well, I guess I can’t help it.

Why can’t great artists be picked up by the big book publishers? I mean, even shitty writers get published. xD (… do I even have to mention Eragon?)

  22. Zack says:

Coalled, that’s a good idea. I didn’t know how many books to order, so I only ordered a few. I’ll set up a poll at some time so that I may gauge interest.

  23. Meww says:

    AAAAAGH oh man
    i want those so bad.
    so. bad.
i want them. being able to read nofna in book format would be beyond awesome.
    and those covers are amazing.
AND NEW MATERIAL AAAAAAAGH I BET ITS SO AWESOME.
*grabby hands* zach you are so hardcore DB>
man if i lived in maryland, i’d be so there.
    *washington state too* eeeheeeheeheee

  24. Katt says:

lol @ the unprofessional use of a bedspread for picturesss :)

sooo if we order from you, can you give us some idea of how much that would cost and what kind of personalization will take place?

  25. Sabs says:

@Katt: I thought the bedspread was a tablecloth, so it isn’t completely unprofessional.

  26. Zack says:

    Hi Katt,

Since I’d be acting as my own middleman, there would probably be a small price increase to cover the extra shipping costs. But signing a book shouldn’t cost anything extra.
